I know, another spider! Well, like the other two this one was
made as a gift. The only difference is I taped the coil at about
50 turns. This helps the sharpness of the tuning. The
absolute worst place to put the detector in a single coil configuration
is the top of the coil. There, the tank is swamped and you will
have a hard time tuning in different stations. Buy placing it
lower with a tap you improve your selectivity or the ability to tune
out one station and tune in another.
